More details here…

Sabi is a richly layered woolen upholstery textile designed by Louise Sigvardt. With a dynamic interplay of colors and textures, it offers a contemporary take on classic weaving traditions. Crafted with a dobby weave, Sabi features a multidimensional expression that evolves with distance and perspective.

At the heart of Sabi’s character is its thoughtful blend of materials: one yarn is virgin wool, while the other is recycled wool dyed in darker tones — sourced from post-industrial scraps by the UK-based spinner Wooltex. This approach not only gives the textile its unique depth but also underscores a commitment to sustainability. The recycled content is the same base used in Re-wool by Margrethe Odgaard, yet the outcome is entirely distinct in structure and tone.

Inspired by the unexpected layers uncovered during a home renovation, Sigvardt’s palette explores what lies beneath the surface — both literally and metaphorically. The result is a chromatic landscape that merges present-day sensibilities with nostalgic references from the 1970s and 80s. Signature shades like Mellow Butter, Acid Green, Sour Lavender, Camel Brown, and Prima Magenta create striking contrasts alongside soft, muted neutrals.

As you move closer to Sabi, new color dimensions unfold — each thread contributing to a textural story that rewards close attention. Sophisticated and expressive, Sabi is ideal for spaces where color, materiality, and sustainability converge.
