Kvadrat Sprin­kles Fabric

Sprin­kles is a lively knitted uphol­stery textile by Bertjan Pot, defined by its playful, kalei­do­scopic surface. Up close, the textile reveals a scat­ter­ing of multi­col­ored dots that shift and change with perspec­tive, creat­ing a dynamic visual effect.

From a distance, the sparkling dots blend softly into the woolen surface, produc­ing an elegant mélange expres­sion that feels both rich and under­stated. This layered design offers multi­ple visual ​“faces,” tran­si­tion­ing between bold detail and subtle texture depend­ing on the viewpoint.

Sprin­kles is constructed with a unique three-layer compo­si­tion: a soft, volu­mi­nous middle layer of poly­ester filling is held between two knitted layers. This creates both comfort and padded dimen­sion while main­tain­ing excellent flexibility.

Thanks to its knitted construc­tion, Sprin­kles offers multi­di­rec­tional stretch, making it ideal for uphol­ster­ing organic forms and fluid shapes. The textile effort­lessly conforms to curves, enhanc­ing both tactile appeal and visual depth.

The color palette combines three tones within each color­way, ranging from bold, high-contrast combi­na­tions to more muted, tonal expres­sions. Selected wool yarns used in Sprin­kles are shared across other Kvadrat Febrik textiles, making it easy to mix, match, and layer within cohe­sive interior schemes.
