More details here…

The Imari Chest is an exercise in austere, rectilinear conviction. It is a piece that understands the gravity of its materials, presenting a form that feels less like furniture and more like a permanent architectural datum. By stripping away all unnecessary artifice in favor of a profound, monastic clarity, Mainzer has created a vessel that commands a room through the sheer weight of its restraint.

Functionality is treated here as a matter of internal rhythm. The drawers are operated by way of horizontal, milled-wood slots — an understated, intuitive detail that preserves the seamless integrity of the façade. Inside, soft-close hardware provides a sense of smooth, mechanical inevitability. Whether functioning as a bedside companion or standing alone as an anchor in a room, the Imari Chest serves as a tactile testament to endurance. It is a surface intended for the long arc of a life, bridging the divide between high-concept purity and the unhurried rituals of the everyday.
