Ronan Bouroullec
France
Ronan Bouroullec (b. 1971, Quimper, France) is a globally renowned designer celebrated for his refined, poetic approach to design. A graduate of the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Appliqués et des Métiers d’Art, he first gained recognition in 1996 when his Vase Soliflore entered the Centre Pompidou’s permanent collection. In 1999, he co-founded Bouroullec Studio in Paris with his brother Erwan, marking the beginning of their extensive collaborations with leading global brands.
From furniture and textiles to architectural installations, Bouroullec’s work embodies simplicity, balance, and meticulous craftsmanship. He has maintained a longstanding partnership with Kvadrat, designing showrooms, textiles, and modular wall systems. Beyond industrial design, Ronan is deeply committed to drawing, an intuitive practice he has pursued since childhood. His artworks have been exhibited at the Art Institute of Chicago, Cooper-Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum, and Galerie Kreo, among others, reflecting his distinctive artistic sensibility.
