More details here…

Originally designed in 1965 by Nanna Ditzel, Hallingdal is Kvadrat’s first textile and a true icon of Danish design. Updated as Hallingdal 65, the fabric remains a benchmark in wool upholstery — celebrated for its durability, timeless appeal, and vibrant color palette.

Crafted from 70% wool and 30% viscose, the materials are dyed before spinning to enhance texture and depth. Wool brings strength and resilience, while viscose lends brilliance to the color. Available in 58 shades — from soft neutrals to bold pinks and turquoises — Hallingdal 65 continues to define interiors in both public and private spaces.

Honored with the Danish Design Centre’s Classic Prize in 2001, Ditzel’s enduring design remains one of Kvadrat’s bestsellers.

Building on this legacy, Sisu offers a contemporary interpretation of Hallingdal. Created by artist Danh Vo, Sisu is woven with thicker wool yarns into a bold, checked pattern. It blends playful expression with the refined minimalism of Danish aesthetics. Available in 16 complementary colorways, Sisu adds depth, warmth, and character to modern interiors — bridging the past and present with effortless elegance.
