More details here…

The Houdini Armchair by Stefan Diez for e15 is formed in a structural lightness. Named for its seemingly impossible construction, the chair is crafted from thin, 4‑millimeter, precision-cut oak-veneered plywood. These bands are hand-stretched around a milled solid ring core, a labor-intensive technique borrowed from traditional model airplane construction that relies entirely on glue rather than nails or screws.

The result is a form that feels exceptionally airy while maintaining remarkable strength. Its ergonomic seat features a subtle backward cant, offering a relaxed posture ideal for both dining and occasional use. For those seeking additional comfort, the armchair is also available with optional upholstery for the seat, back, and armrests. It is a refined, minimal footprint design that demonstrates how profound technical complexity can result in something that feels effortless.
