Norway Says & Per Bjørnsen

Norway

Norway Says was a pioneering multidisciplinary design group founded in Oslo in 2002 by designers Espen Voll, Andreas Engesvik, and Torbjörn Anderssen. The studio quickly became known for its innovative, international approach to design, producing a diverse range of work including furniture, textiles, electronics, lighting, and porcelain.

At the forefront of a new wave of young Norwegian designers, Norway Says embraced a collaborative and experimental spirit that set them apart. Their work fused traditional Scandinavian design sensibilities with contemporary innovation, earning them recognition on the global stage.

In 2009, the studio split into two independent design practices — Anderssen & Voll and Andreas Engesvik — both of which have continued to garner acclaim, working with prestigious international clients. Throughout their careers, they have received numerous accolades, including the Honors Award for Design Excellence from the Norwegian Design Council.

Today, their legacy lives on in the continued success of their individual ventures, with each designer contributing to a broader dialogue in modern design.
