More details here…

Myr is a knitted upholstery textile designed by Note Design Studio, combining a bold three-dimensional surface with an organic mélange effect. Developed alongside its more understated counterpart Mylla, the two textiles complement each other, offering layered possibilities for interior spaces.

Like Mylla, Myr is crafted entirely from 100% post-consumer recycled polyester, made from discarded plastic bottles. This construction reflects Kvadrat Febrik’s commitment to circular design, with Myr fully recyclable without any loss of quality.

The name Myr — meaning wetlands” in Swedish — refers to the irregular, raised surface reminiscent of natural topographies. Through extensive prototyping, Note Design Studio explored how stitching placement and material choices could create organic variation, bringing a spontaneous, textural quality to the surface.

While Myr shares the same double jacquard knit as Mylla, it features wider stitch spacing, allowing the recycled filling yarn to expand and create its pronounced, voluminous structure. The result is a soft, padded textile with a matte finish and rich dimensionality.

The color palette includes five expressive, dual-toned options designed to enhance the textile’s sculptural quality. Earthy reds and greens are balanced by architectural grey, with bold yellow and blue tones introducing dynamic contrast.

Offering excellent stretch and flexibility, Myr is ideal for upholstering organic forms in both residential and contract settings. Its tactile surface, combined with its sustainable construction, makes it a distinctive, future-forward choice for sensorial interiors.
