More details here…

Mylla is a knitted upholstery textile with an intricate, organic mélange surface, designed by Note Design Studio. Created alongside its more expressive counterpart Myr, the two textiles are designed to work in harmony, offering versatile combinations for layered interiors.

Both Mylla and Myr are Kvadrat Febrik’s first textiles made entirely from 100% post-consumer recycled polyester, marking a new standard for responsible design. Crafted from specially developed yarn derived from used plastic bottles, Mylla combines sustainability with refined visual depth.

The design takes inspiration from natural and manmade irregularities. The name Mylla — Swedish for humus,” the fertile layer of soil — reflects its non-uniform, stippled surface, reminiscent of organic textures found in nature. Through careful experimentation with stitching and construction, Note Design Studio achieved a subtle, random pattern that feels tactile and spontaneous.

Mylla is constructed using a double jacquard knit with a high-bulk recycled polyester filling yarn, creating its matte appearance and soft, padded hand. The palette includes ten earthy and architectural tones, each blending two shades within the same hue to build the rich mélange effect.

Highly stretchable, Mylla is ideal for upholstering organic shapes and complex forms. Its durable, mono-material construction allows for continuous recycling without degrading quality, making it a future-focused choice for both residential and contract settings.
